A Nottingham born bar slinger, Mez began his career back in 2013. Having grown up on a diet of Kano, D Double E, Dizzee Rascal et al, it was in year 10 that the now 21 year-young Mez began putting pen to paper.

After releasing a number of free EPs, in 2015 Mez began to set up his second home in London. Making appearances on stations including Rinse, Radar and NTS where he’s now a regular, Mez has also enjoyed constant support from BBC 1Xtra, winning their #NextInGrime competition. More recently, Mez took on jazz improvisation with Henry Wu and his new Kamaal Williams ensemble at the Redbull Studios, resulting in an epic 10 minute long one take freestyle.

Mez has already supported Stormzy and Kano on their respective tours; Mez was also invited by Skepta as one of the acts to open his sold-out Alexandra Palace Show at the end of 2016. Festival appearances include Born N Bred, Bread & Butter & NASS while he’s already frequented Kosovo, Berlin and Amsterdam to spread his grime sound and earn his status as an ultimate stage show don.

An i-D Magazine one to watch, Mez has continued to showcase his captivating and distinctive style, most recently on his latest EP ‘Tyrone 3’.
